The Yonex E-Zone Xi 100 offers the new Yonex Xi technology (Extra Isometric) which expands the sweetspot towards the top of the frame and, according to Yonex, provides a bigger sweetspot and more power with less impact vibration. Also new is the Yonex SD IS Grid shaft. A shock absorbing Grid mesh sheet is inserted into the shaft to absorb the impact vibration between the 2 tubes inside the grip. Right away, our testers noticed excellent power from the baseline while providing forgiveness with off center hits. The spinfriendly stringbed provides a large and forgiving sweetspot that helps shots stay on target and promotes comfort. At net, the 16x18 string pattern provides great ball pocketing and greater bite enabling the playtesters to hit with pace, depth and control. Serving provided a nice combination of power and spin. The standard length frame (27 inches) makes it easy to whip the racquet through the contact zone when looking for added spin. All in all, the Yonex E-Zone Xi 100 offers power, comfort and forgiveness, favoring the aggressive player from all areas of the court. We recommend giving this one a spin as this racquet is versatile enough for for intermediate to advanced players.
